Netflix’s “Hubie Halloween,” Halloween Treat

Why you should watch Hubie Halloween?

 

As a treat for this year’s Halloween, Netflix launched “Hubie Halloween,” a comedy-horror movie stared by the ever-talented actor Adam Sandler. Adam, who has worked in the entertainment industry since the ’90s showed his brilliant sense of humor again in this movie together with his daughters Sunny and Sadie and his fellow actor-comedian friends in the business. For that reason alone, you can expect that this movie is worth watching, for it is filled with scenes that will surely make you laugh. The movie features Salem City, the City of “Witch Trials”


Salem is a place on the north coast of Massachusetts, above Boston. It is notable for its 1692 witch trials where many locals were executed for reportedly practicing witchcraft even though it was not proven.

In the movie, you will see how Halloween is highly celebrated in Salem and treated as if it is the most wonderful time of the year.


Adam Sandler’s name in the movie is "Latin"


“Hubie Dubio,” is the name bestowed to Adam Sandler in the movie. The word “Dubio or in dubio” in Latin means “doubtless”, which is a perfect surname for the character of Hubie, a man so fascinated in making Halloween safe and fun for the people that he could risk his own life to make it happen.


Aside from the humor in it, the movie contains a moral lesson that everyone can relate


In the movie, Hubie Dubio is greatly bullied by his peers and even the children in his town. He is seen as a retarded person who doesn’t know anything other than keeping Halloween safe and fun. But, despite all the cruelty that was done to him he remained kind and forgiving to his bullies and even saved them from being killed.


The movie is also starred by Noah Schnapp of Stranger Things


Noah Schnapp or famously known as “Will Byers” of Stranger Things is one of the actors that you can expect to see in the movie. Noah plays Tommy, the foster son of Hubie’s high school crush.
