4 Interesting Fictional Books to Feed your Imaginative Brain

Reading a book is a good exercise for the brain. It improves your memory and widens your vocabulary, as well. In reading, you can attain new knowledge from the book while being creative in forming images of faces, places, and scenarios. Although some would find it boring or a waste of time, reading can take you to a different world. A world where you created in your mind as your short escape from reality.

Today, I'll be sharing with you some of my favorite books that never get old through time. I'm a huge fan of science-fiction, mystery, and thriller. So, expect that these books are under the same genres.

Let's begin with Jeanne DuPrau's book, The City of Ember.

This was published in 2003 and became a movie in 2008. This book talks about a post-apocalyptic underground city where everything is operated mainly with a generator. When the main source is beginning to fail, two teenagers, Lina and Doon, are up for an adventure to save the light of their city before darkness takes over. This book is very exciting because every time a new chapter begins, a secret is yet to be discovered.

Second, on the list is Bel Watson's Unseen.

At first, I thought it was a typical story of a nerd being ignored in school, but I was totally wrong. The biggest revelation here is that the main character is a ghost. She was dead for a long time but her soul never leaves the surface. Generally, Unseen teaches people to never bully someone regardless of gender, status, or race because worst things happen anytime and anywhere.

The third book is Project Loki which is my top pick in detective stories.

It was last year when I was into detective kinds of stuff, so I've read the whole series. Project Loki was written by AkoSiIbarra, a Filipino author known for his detective ebooks. This story tests a person's ability to deeply understand situations and analyze cryptic messages to solve crimes. So, if you are interested in connecting dots to find pieces of evidence and unveiling the true identity of the killers, then this book is for you.

The story revolves around Samantha Kingston, a teenager who is repeatedly living the day of her death. This is somewhat similar to the movie Happy Death Day with its repetitive scenes. This book made me realize that little things matter to someone, so we should all be sensitive towards people.

Indeed, every book has a lot to offer which makes it interesting in the process. These books made me travel the world, imagine scenes, and create characters by myself. Truly, everything is possible with a good book and a clever mind.
